Success for the BEST Cat in Chief Executive's!

BEST leader, Cat Orchard, an Area Democratic Services Officer from Committee Services, didn't want any of her team to miss out on the BEST workshop this year and came up with a brilliant idea of how to include them!

Some of the team couldn’t physically make it to the workshop and although the benefits of attending a workshop are second to none, Cat felt it was important to include all in the process, so she designed a virtual workshop and assigned a feline representative to lead it!

The virtual workshop was sent out via email to all of the team and any returns included in the final results. This meant everyone had a chance to participate, score on the BEST values, belief, excellence, success and trust and have an opportunity to put forward their suggestions and any ideas for team actions.

More than initially expected turned up to the live workshop and Cat commented; “people that came on the day gave very positive feedback and thought it was a useful and productive session”.

What a fantastic way of including everyone in your team? Cat has been a BEST leader for six months and believes it is important to include as many of the team members as possible in the workshop. The virtual workshop was fun and humorous, incorporating all the areas that a normal workshop includes and the great success was that all the team members felt included in the process!
