Choppers the Gorilla
In their recent BEST workshop, Regulatory Services, decided to carry out a very useful, thoughtful and original BEST action. With sustainability at the heart of their thinking, they decided to save all of their shredded paper and donate it to Twycross Zoo.
The donation is greatly received by all at the zoo, none more so than the family of chimps who are given a clean bed of paper shreds every day thanks to the team. Nicola Barlow, from Twycross Zoo, showing their appreciation said “We use the paper every day to make up clean beds so we get through loads! So thank you very much for your help, we really appreciate it”.
The zoo has a very reliable collection service who can collect about 50-60 bags at a time. As you can see in the pictures, it goes to very good use and they have collected around 200 bags from the team at Regulatory Services so far.

So, in the true spirit of BEST, it just goes to show what can be achieved by working together to create a simple, but very effective action that has benefits for not only the team itself, but can also help the community as well.
