Director Jason Lowther, with Kevin Duffty, Area Manager in Libraries

New for 2009

We have introduced a “Senior Leadership Award” for managers within BCC. The winners will be those people who enabling real change in their service areas, leading by example, are passionate about improving the services we deliver to the citizens of Birmingham, whilst seeking to engage their people in their vision, in an open, honest and enabling way.

Anyone can nominate a senior manager, and winners will be presented with their trophy by the Chief Executive at the Senior Managers Network events.

Chief Executive Stephen Hughes said ‘Being a senior leader in public sector is a challenging, difficult, but rewarding role, and these awards will recognise those managers who are leading our services, that are driving improvements to the service we deliver to the customers of Birmingham, in a dynamic and of course efficient way; whilst supporting our vision to be a global city with a local heart.”
