Midnight Miles for St Mary's

Last updated 28th May 2009

Do you fancy doing a sponsored walk with a difference? Join our Generation BEST team for a midnight walk on Saturday 4th July in aid of St Mary's Hospice.

St Mary's is Birmingham's local hospice, caring for over 1000 people each year suffering from life-limiting illnesses. Their aim is to give people the best possible quality of life, supporting them and their families for as long as needed. This very good cause has been voted one of Generation BEST’s network charities as part of the programme’s ‘Giving Something Back’.

The walk is being organised by St Mary's and will begin at the stroke of midnight on Saturday 4th July at the clock tower at the University of Birmingham. The 10km (6.2 mile) route will then go through Edgbaston, Harborne and Selly Oak, returning to the campus in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The entry fee is £10 per person and you must pre-register before the event. To enter, go to http://www.bsmh.org.uk/fundraising/events/MidnightWalk.php and download an entry form. If you don't have internet access, call us on 0121 675 1548 for a hard copy. All entry forms must be returned by Friday 19th June 2009. Places are limited so please complete and return the form asap.

Once you have registered, let us know at generationBEST@birmingham.gov.uk or call Claire on 0121 675 1548 so that we can make arrangements for meeting up on the night.
