Matt Butler

I started at Birmingham City Council in January 2000 on a Young Persons Trainee Scheme in Training & Development. After working in HR for four years, I developed an interest in developing websites and moved to the Council's Corporate Webteam. It was from there that I moved to the BEST team in May 2008 as a Digital Communications Officer. My role involves maintaining both our intranet and internet sites, leading on the various aspects of Social Media engagement that BEST undertakes, as well as designing the promotional merchandise that the team distributes at events.

I joined the BEST team as I could see from the outside that BEST do lots of positive work towards making the Council a better place to work, and the chance to be involved was one not to be missed!

Current Role: Digital Communications Officer
