Lucy Kenny
I joined the Council in early 2006 as Secretary to the Manager of the Birmingham Anti-Social Behaviour Unit. During my two years in this post I became involved in project work such as their successful application to achieve Charter Mark, I also became a BEST Leader (which I loved!). When a job within the BEST Support Team came up I jumped at the chance to work for such a positive and forward thinking sector of the organisation. My current role is BEST Project Officer for BEST which means I co-ordinate the Living It! Awards, Dragons' Den, BEST Shouts! and the LGC Mini Challenges; I'm also involved in collating and publicising the success stories from all of the amazing actions.
Working for BEST is perfect for me as I love to see the difference we make on a daily basis to people's working lives. Hearing all the success stories every day can't help to put a smile on your face!
