December’s Living It Award Winners
December saw two teams being awarded the 'Living It' Team of the Month award. Firstly, the Birmingham Graduate Development Programme Team from Chief Executives Directorate; the team were nominated by Martha Mondon.
Martha felt the team worked tirelessly since January 2009, achieving outcomes for the people of Birmingham in over 40 service areas and partnerships across the council. The team have identified innovative ways of working, leading change and being ambassadors for young people across the council.

Our second team award goes to the Selly Oak Constituency Performance & Support Team from Housing & Constituencies Directorate. They were nominated by Claire Vaughan. The team were nominated for being very supportive and not complaining about tasks, just getting things done to the highest of standards, and working together as a team. They put excellent delivery at the heart of everything they do. They have embraced the challenge of working in new environments, offering each other encouragement and support when needed and have built up a strong relationship based on trust and honesty. All important when displaying the values of belief, excellence, success and trust, and imperative for delivering an excellent service to our customers.

The December Senior Leadership award went to Jackie Culliford of the Development Directorate. Jackie was nominated by Kevin Allen for being a superb role model for BEST, offering support, advice and guidance which has built a very trusting relationship with the engagement team. Jackie always leads by example, being positive and instilling a true sense of belief within the directorate. Her support for the BEST programme has seen engagement with the directorate increase rapidly.
