Getting to know each other over some light-hearted competition was the aim of the game when 13 Generation BEST members met up after work at the Fiveways Bowlplex recently.

Generation BEST is the Council’s network for younger or early-career staff, which was launched in December 2008. With proportionately few younger staff, the network offers valuable opportunities to meet up with colleagues from others directorates and teams.

Our three adjacent lanes made for instant rivalry, but there was also plenty of celebration for each rare strike and commiseration as yet another ball thundered into the gutter!

It was a brilliant opportunity to wind down after work and get to know each other better and the next Generation BEST social event is already being planned as a result!
