Giving Something Back Scheme

Calling all Local Businesses
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham Anita Ward is appealing to local businesses to sign up to the ‘Lord Mayor’s Giving Something Back Scheme’. The scheme is designed for local city centre businesses who would like to support Birmingham and help us to raise vital funds for the Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal.
The Lord Mayor is asking businesses to have small collection box at the tills for customers to donate any loose change if they wish.
If you were to sign up to the scheme, you will be provided with a collection box which you can collect at a launch event in the Council House; it will also be an opportunity for me to meet those of you from the local businesses in the area. Towards the end of the Lord Mayor’s term in, which will be around April 2012, you will be invited into the Council House again to present the donations and celebrate the contribution we as a city are making. Extra boxes will also be available throughout the year should you need them.
The Lord Mayor and her chosen charities would be delighted if you would like to join the scheme. To sign up or for more information please contact Sammy Williams who is coordinating this project. You can contact Sammy by email or call 0121 675 1577.
