Neighbourhood Team Building Benefits Local Hospice

Last updated 16th November 2009

Best Leaders Jackie Robinson and Peter Barratt from Erdington Neighbourhood Office, were awarded funding by Dragons’ Den for a team building afternoon.

They decided to bring teams from different offices together to organise an afternoon of fun for local residents and centre users.

The event took place at Kingstanding Leisure Centre in July and included a tombola, bric a brac and curry & cake stalls.

The enjoyable afternoon ended with a quiz to satisfy the more competitive members of the community and a raffle, which offered some excellent prizes donated by the Dragons and some large local retail stores.

The event raised a total of £360 and as well as bringing the teams together to combine talent and skills they were very proud to be able to put something back in to the community by donating the money to the John Taylor Hospice, a local charity.
