Best Leader of Enterprising Communities, Tabriz Hussain and his team, based in Sparkhill Library, focused their Best actions on improving communication and their working environment.

The team brought both elements together in their successful bid to the Dragons to refurbish their meeting room, the whole team are very proud of their acomplishment.

They used the money awarded wisely and now have an impressive ‘communication’ room. Tabriz and his team were delighted with the final result.

The team were concerned that their low ‘trust’ score last year was a result of low team morale. They were quick to take positive action and with the funding awarded by the dragons began by creating a communication room, in which regular staff meetings are now held.

They organised regular team building time out, e.g. bowling, to help improve relationships and team members have designed a BEST staff suggestion box allowing innovative ideas to be captured at any time. They also have regular weekly ‘clean up’ sessions of desks and office space, which has had a very positive impact on their image and has boosted team morale.

Their respect and trust for each other has grown and they are determined to continue building a successful team.
