As part of our employee engagement and recognition strategy, we often sponsor or support awards ceremonies within The Council, that celebrate the successes of our staff, our volunteers or our service users.
We were proud to support the Disability Employment Solutions Awards (DES), including Forward 4 Work, for the third year.
Forward 4 Work work with people who have mental health problems, learning difficulties or physical or sensory disabilities to support them into quality employment and training. It is made up of a number of projects and teams, located across the city, working in different areas of employment and training, but all working towards creating routes into worthwhile employment and suitable for people with a disability.
The awards celebrate the achievements from across the year, and Cllr Alan Rudge presents the students with their awards and offers his personal thanks to all the staff team who display all of the core values of BEST every day in delivering their service.
This year we joined many generous sponsors, The Lord Mayor, Stavros Flatley and many special invited guests for a wonderful evening of celebration and recognition.
