Keeping The Animals Cosy

Last updated 31st August 2010

BEST Leader Graeme Brooke and his team at Kings Heath Park held their BEST workshop back in February 2010. One of the agreed actions was to donate all of their unwanted shredded paper to The Birmingham Nature Centre to be used as bedding for the animals.

The team thought it would be beneficial to recycle their shredded paper as it would save money on bedding, reduce their carbon footprint and the used bedding could be turned to compost.

This action is now up and running and the team make regular shredded paper donations to the Nature Centre.

The animals at the Nature Centre are extremely grateful of the donated shredded paper as it keeps them warm and snug during the day and night!
