Cllr Rudge speaking at Be Birmingham Summit

A solicitor by profession, Cllr Rudge heads his own legal practice whilst fulfilling his duties for his Cabinet role for the Equalities and Human Resources Portfolio, a position he has held since 2004. This work includes community cohesion, the Community Development and Engagement Programme; Birmingham Reducing Gang Violence and Preventing Violent Extremism.

Cllr Rudge is also dedicated to the young people of Birmingham. This is reflected in over 10 years as chairman of Clifton Road Youth Centre in Sutton and as director of the Sutton Coldfield YMCA.

Reinforcing his diverse interests, Cllr Rudge has also served two terms as director of the CBSO and is now a director of Birmingham Repertory Theatre as well as being Director of Birmingham Settlement
