Clearance Surgeries Shout Success

The Clearance Best Team, led by Sue Jones, from the H&C Directorate decided that it was time for their customers and BCC staff to see the successful redevelopment in Birmingham and to showcase the work of the Clearance Team.

They have gathered together ‘before and after’ photos of successful clearance schemes such as the Lyndhurst project, and information about the team and their work which will be presented at organised road shows and manned by volunteers from the team. These road shows can be used as drop in sessions and surgeries for customers and BCC Staff at future conferences.

Their enthusiasm for the project has resulted in the team designing a compact version of the presentation which can be given to new clearance customers, ensuring the team reach all those who require their services.

In addition, a member of the team is in discussion with their management and communications teams to develop a website which will allow the public to access information about new and existing schemes. There will also be a facility for customers to update their details and complete relevant clearance forms online, improving their current system considerably and contributing to efficiency and saving costs.

The team are making excellent progress and are working hard to ensure their actions are successful.
