Blue Cross Charity Tea Party
The BEST Programme Team never pass up an opportunity to dress outrageously, so when the chance to dress up and eat cake for a good cause arose they jumped at it!
The team held their Mad Hatters Tea Party on Friday 16th May 2009 in the Pitman Building in aid of The Blue Cross. Team members turned up in their wackiest hat for a cup of tea, a piece of cake, strawberries and cream and to make a donation to the Blue Crosses’ latest campaign. The team raised over £50 for the charity, which is close to their hearts.
The Blue Cross Charity is a pet welfare charity, providing practical support, information and advice. They aim to ensure the welfare of animals by providing practical care, highlight the benefits of companionship between animals and people and promote a sense of respect and responsibility towards animals in the community.
Over the past two years the charity have raised an incredible £70,000 through the Tea Party events.
It’s not too late to hold your Blue Cross Tea Party, so if you would like to get involved then you can find out more information on www.bluecross.org.uk.
The BEST Team’s mascot; Oscar the Cat would have liked to attend the event but made do with cream without the strawberries at home.
