EmailIn 2008 the BEST Programme team hosted several celebration events, on behalf of the Chief Executive and Cllr Alan Rudge, Cabinet Member for Equalities and HR and BEST Cabinet Sponsor These events rewarded and recognised the hard work and commitment demonstrated by BEST leaders and managers. The events also helped share successes and keep people involved in how BEST progressed throughout the year. They also gave Cllr Rudge and Stephen Hughes, the opportunity to say 'thank you' to staff, face to face. The events, which ran from June to December, were a great success and attendees reported it were a fantastic opportunity to share best practice, to network with other leaders and managers as well as to meet senior managers, directors and the Council's leaders.
Throughout 2009 BEST Leaders, managers and teams have demonstrated more commitment and dedication to the BEST programme than ever, so we would like to invite all the people who have made BEST the success it is, to another series of events. To reward and celebrate these achievements, we will be hosting 'Recognition Events’ throughout the year, the details of our next event is as follows:
Thursday 30th July 2009, 12.00-2.00pm in the Council House Rooms 3&4
At this event, Sean Connolly, BEST Sponsor for Adults and Communities, will be presenting the BEST Leader, Manager and Team of the Month Awards, as well as winner’s of Dragons Den Plaques and celebrating Generation BEST Members. These events provide a great networking opportunity for people throughout the council. If you would like to receive an invitation, simply return your BEST workshop form to your directorate BEST support team.
