I joined the council to work on BEST in February 2007.

My role involves helping to fully embed the core values through open honest and effective communication, managing the ‘BEST Brand’, publicising BEST successes and designing new and creative ways to engage and involve employees in the BEST Programme.

I’m geekily passionate about employer branding, reputation management, creative communication and cultural transformation and can (and will) bore people for hours on these subjects!

I also lead on Generation BEST, BCC’s younger persons network. The network aims to empower younger members of staff to fulfil their full potential and promote the value younger employees bring to the workplace.

I love working for Birmingham City Council as I’m passionate about making the public sector an employer of choice. Where else can you have a job with the chance to make a real difference every working day?
