Couldn't live without: Faith, Family, Red Wine
As the Cabinet Member responsible for BEST I am delighted to welcome you to this dedicated website for the Council's employee engagement programme, BEST. I hope you find useful information here, and have the chance to share your successes, and challenges with other teams, BEST leaders and BEST managers.
There is also the opportunity to find information on the Chamberlain Awards, my yearly employee recognition scheme, and to find out how to nominate your colleagues for a monthly, or a yearly award.
The Chamberlain Awards supports the BEST core values as well as Council Plan priorities to raise performance, increase motivation, engage employees, and identify and share successes, excellence in performance and share best practice. This recognises that our employees are the key to having one of the best performing local authorities in the UK. I hope to meet you and your teams at future events and have the opportunity to offer my thanks face to face. Good luck!
